ACCK Seminar Series
ACCK offers four seminars yearly.
Is This Child Hyperactive? ADHD in Children 1-7 is the topic of a December 4 ACCK seminar by Dr. Audrey M. Roberts, a pediatrician and specialist in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Dr. Roberts is on the staff of the Wichita Clinic-Bethal at Newton. She will offer a multi-faceted perspective on ADHD, as a specialist, sibling and parent. Dr. Roberts will address indicators and non-indicators of ADHD in the infant, toddler, preschool, and primary years; behavioral interventions for home and group settings; and issues surrounding medication for ADHD with young children.
The seminar will be December 4 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Wallerstedt Library on the Bethany College Campus in Lindsborg. There is no fee for this seminar; however, pre-registration by December 1 is required.
Inclusive Creative Movement Activities for Children 2-8 is the third seminar topic, and is presented by Carol L. Russell, Ed.D. on February 26.
Lemons to Lemonade: Transforming Conflict from Danger to Opportunity is the fourth seminar in this series, and will be presented by Kirsten Zerger, J.D. on March 31.
