| 1998 TDAP Conference Update
Plans are well under way for the forth annual Transitioning Into Developmentally Appropriate Practice: Preschool to Primary Conference (TDAP) , April 2-3 at the Wichita Airport Hilton. Everyone interested in young children will benefit from this conference: educators, administrators, and parents. You will have an opportunity to gather information about innovative teaching practices that promote developmentally appropriate educational opportunities for preschool and primary students. Nationally known and "home grown" experts in DAP will share their knowledge throughout this two day conference. This year, site visits will be available in multiple cities on Thursday, making it possible to plan your trip so you can visit a site (or two) on your way to the general conference sessions on Friday. Brain development in young children and its implications for early childhood education and DAP is the focus for the 1998 conference. Our keynote speaker is Nina Sazer O'Donnell, Ph.D. from The Families and Work Institute in New York City. Dr. O'Donnell is co-author of Rethinking the Brain: New Insights into Early Development , published in 1996. Other breakout sessions will include:
